CORFU TOWN

There is the famous liston square with its little narrow street in the historic old Corfu Town with venetian architecture. You can also visit the church of st. Spyridon which is 300 years old, the town’s most famous monument.

The many souvenirs in the narrow streets of the old town make shopping enjoyable. The old fortress is located a few meters long explore this lovely area.

KANONI – PONTIKONISI
This is where you can visit the mouse island, which can be reached a 5 minutes boat ride. This lovely green island took its name due to tiny size. According to mythology, this rocky island is where the god Poseidon stoned the ship of Odysseus.
ACHILLEION PALACE CORFU

10KM South West of Corfu town in the village of gastouri is the beautiful achilleion palace. A mansion that was built in 1891 by the emperor of Austria known as Sissi and later owned by Kaiser, Wilhelm of Germany.

PALIA PERITHIA (OLD PERITHIA)

A village that has not been inhabited since 1960 is located on the northern side of Corfu, just 8km from Kassiopi. Constructed on the slopes of mount pantokratoras at an altitude of 650 m. the village was originally established in the 14th century, during the byzantine times. Its location shows the need of people that times to move from the coastal side and protect themselves from pirate and enemy attacks. Old perithia is a wonderful place to visit.

PALEOKASTRITSA CORFU
Is one of the most beautiful places in Corfu. On a lush green hill above the beach, located the monastery of virgin dates from 1225. There is a museum inside which has a unique collection of byzantine icons. Paleokastritsa means old castle place, this castle is located in an adjacent village called Angelokastro. Bay of Paleokastritsa is the place where Odysseus disembarked and met nausica.

BOUKARI CORFU

Boukari is a small fishing harbor with small beach on the southeast coast of Corfu island. It is the seaside area of the inland village of Kouspades which is less than 1 km away.
Boukari has a few hotels and a handful of houses with rooms and apartments to rent, lined along a narrow pebbled beach. The place is better known for its fish tavernas which serve fresh fish and seafood right by the sea and some of them offers sunbeds and parasols as well. The beach strip has pebbles both on the shore and in the water but the sea is always very calm and there are no waves at all.

PETRITI CORFU
The larger seaside village of Petriti is just 3 km away. The charming village of Petriti is idyllically located on the eastern coast of Corfu. In the ancient times this village was popularly referred to as Egrypos. The word Egrypos is derived from the Greek word Evrous that literally means a good river. Today, Petriti village is sparsely populated with just 700 permanent residents most of whom are engaged in fishing. There are several restaurants around the beach and mini markets. The beach is narrow, with soft sand and shallow water without waves. There is limited choice of rooms to rent. The fishing harbor next to the beach is used as a marina by small boats and yachts. And if you follow the narrow coastal road which starts from the harbor and runs along the sea, in a few kilometers you will found yourself at the seaside area Boukari with fish tavernas and pebbly beach.

AGIOS GEORGIOS SOUTH CORFU

Agios Georgios is a peaceful place but has everything necessary for an enjoyable holiday. Visitors have choice of accommodation, restaurants, cafes and bars. The resort is best known for the wide beach that runs alongside.
It is 10 km long without interruption, with soft golden sand and you can always find secluded spots.

LAKE KORISSION CORFU
A few kilometers north of Agios Georgios are the ruins of the fortress of Gardiki and the salt lake Korision. On the beach in Agios Georgios various water sports are available. The resort of Agios Georgios Argyradon is located on the southwest coast of Corfu.
Argyrades is one of those villages in Corfu`s countryside where time is slowly and radically flowing and daily life has remained the same for decades. About three decades ago, the beach had nothing but sea and sand, and very few locals have some houses down there.

ARGYRADES CORFU

Life and habits may not change in Argyrades, but it has changed rapidly in recent years at the beach of Saint George. Agios Georgios today has been transformed into a well-organized tourist resort with many water sports and sun loungers with umbrellas in most places, as well as pedalos. Also, many hotels and apartments emerged literally from the sand, bars and restaurants, supermarkets and all sorts of shops on the street that was constructed just behind the beach.

LEFKIMMI CORFU
Located in the southernmost part of the island and is about 40 km from the airport. Its narrow streets are lined with merchants’ mansions and cottages in various stages of renovation. Sit by the river enjoying a meal or a drink and watch the world go by, then follow the river to the sea and have a swim.
A well-signposted road leads to the small harbor of Alikes(saltpans), where until recently horses toiled bringing the salt from the salt flats here to be processed. This has now stopped and the old flats are now a spectacular wildlife sanctuary where flamingos, egrets, and many migratory birds can be seen.

THE PORT OF LEFKIMMI

The harbor here is still a base for local fishermen who land their catch there, and the nearby beach has several basic tavernas which offer a real Greek welcome. The large port of Lefkimmi, near the estuary of the homonymous river, has become the second port of operation in Corfu.
From here there is a daily ferry service to the port of Igoumenitsa on the opposite mainland coast, the distance is a bit smaller as well as the cost, this may be of interest for those who want to travel cheaper.

Agios Georgios Argyradon South Corfu
35km South of Corfu town
Crystalline refreshing waters and a beach 10km long in the northern part you will find Issos beach with its sand dunes, that extends as far as cedar forest of Korission lake. In the southern part there are two successive beaches Marathias and Santa Barbara perfect for paragliding scuba diving and other sea sports.
Paleokastritsa Corfu

Six beaches each more beautiful than the next in an area that for decades reigns as Corfu queen of tourism.
Take note:
Agia triada: deep eaters with a sometimes rocky sometimes sandy sea bed. Water skiing para sailing, boat rentals, bars and restaurants are just some of the facilities and activities you will find here.
Alipa: a sandy beach with big rocks along its northern part. Clean an crystal clear waters. Here you will find umbrellas, sun beds, boat rentals and a restaurants, as well as a fishing port.
Agios Spyridonas: the most picturesque and popular of all the beaches in paleokastritsa, since it looks out at the cliffs. It is fully organized and offers all sorts of water sports.
Agios Petros: a beach with both sand and pebbles it is ideal for water sports.
Ambelaki: a quiet beach with deep waters and a rocky sea bed. It is fully equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds and boat rentals.

Halikounas Corfu

Sidari Corfu

Gardenos Corfu

Gardenos beach is situated in the southwest end part of Corfu and is the beachside of the traditional village of Vitalades. Distance from the town of Corfu is quite large, about 30 km from the airport but it is worth the drive. The region took its name after the small river which flows into the sea and separates Gardenos into two regions. In Gardenos beach there are parasols and sunbeds, there are showers and a variety of restaurants and taverns on the shore. Walking on the shore towards the south, the equally beautiful beach Megali Lakka (Kanoula beach another name) can be reached. In the region, there are a few rooms to let, mini markets and a quite spacious parking lot just next to the beach. In order to get to Gardenos beach, you must drive through the lovely traditional village of Vitalades.
Arillas Corfu
40km North West of Corfu town
Right after kavokefali you will encounter Arillas, a large sandy beach with shallow waters. A side from water sports, it offers many opportunities for hiking, horse riding and excursions to the surrounding area. The sunset in the nearby village of afionas is breathing.
Glyfada Corfu
17 km West of Corfu town
Myrtiotissa’s neighboring beach. It is a very busy and popular with fine sand, surrounded by pine-studded hills, olive groves and villas. It is fully equipped including a space for beach volleyball. About 4km away you will find the Corfu golf club and the Corfu horse riding club. Nearby is the well-known water park Aqualand.
Agios Georgios Pagon Corfu

A beach shaped like a horseshoe surrounded by rugged cliffs that descend to the sea creating isolated coves. Deep waters to the right and warm waters to the left- perfect for small children.
